Love Grows In Many Special Ways

Remembering our first movie date
We were seated among other throngs of lovers
All eyes to the movie, capturing romantic scenes
That day we learned to free ourselves from fears to love again

It was a feeling of rejuvenation
For two souls openly sharing their thoughts and emotions
Then we just found ourselves hanging around comfortably
I just found my soul mate with a divine guidance

We just do what feels right for us
A mutual feeling of almost a part of each other in some way
Time slows down as our heart beat faster
To savor the moments of being together

The places, the people and the occasions
That we came across in our lives
Will somehow speak into our eyes
We really are meant for each other

While our love story is so simple not glamorous
I have all the reasons to spend my life
Watching in riveting desire how our love grows
With a smile on our face, saying we’ll never be separated

As the ‘Notting Hill’ movie will keep playing in our mind
A sweet musing of the whole story
Made us realize that love grows
In many special ways

Petals in the Wind

Petals in the Wind

By: Noel N. Villarosa

As the morning breeze whispers in the sky

Blowing fragile petals and leaving the tree

For someone lounging underneath would sigh,

“Petals in the wind take me into a thrill”

A flimsy-looking old man

Pensive for the good old days

Would wish to intertwine

With petals in the wind drifting astray

A girl in search of a long lost love

Still hoping for a spark in her young heart

Graciously singing silent notes to prove

Those petals in the wind grappling with songs never heard

When love dies and silence grows so profound

While the wind stop breathing

Will gather those in vain searching

To scatter and to find rest into the ground

Like petals spaced apart from the wind

Stardust Wink

In louver, I waited ‘til night confined the sky
Incandescent stardust once made me starry-eyed
That tempestuous evening hid the Milky Way
Nocturnal beetle mimicked pristine light that I prayed

In a flick, my desire to see you restrained by distance
I just clutched to stargazing to show me moments of you
An interlude to make feelings in alliance
Where kisses and hugs are free to view

Lurking in the sky, time held its breath
As my eyes glowed luxurious in our love affairs
My heart sang louder to clamor the light in stealth
In flower’s scent enchanted time as I stared

For I knew evening panorama would soon disappear
Last moment I spoke lover’s prayer so powerful
As stars tried filching a moment to appear so near
Came pouring stardust in my longing to reunite with your soul

Whilst time is not in our hands to bear
Whispering hushed sound, steals someone’s life
A lithe gunman brandishing gun to err
If only I hold time, I’ll stop the strife

The ephemeral laughter of childhood
Bequeath memories to posterity
Be an advocate for gun ban, I would
Parents felt like dry leaf in an eddy

I speak of my thoughts, hopes, and prayers
A glimpse of dulcet smile one last chance
Felicity in heaven cloaked the fears
For these children once have a dalliance

One by one, far and near, gunshot broke out
In silence, their presence you can’t live without
