Bedtime rituals
To have a good night’s sound sleep
Turn off light, no tea
Goes early into the bed
Busted by a roommate’s noise

Blown into tiny smithereens
Festooned with velvet drapes
A nightly dream, what could it mean
Holding the fast escape

Waiting to meet another sun
Dreams lined up the clothesline
Sagging to revive unread plan
Let free my confined mind

HOWLING AT THE MOON

Howling At The Moon
By: Noel N. Villarosa
27 March 2015

I am a wolf lover
I am simply an observer from afar
I looked up at the moon
Imagining your howling to keep me attuned

Moon is your vision in howling message
Vikings always wore your skin at winter’s rage
Blood was taken to compensate lost courage in the battle
They see you as companion spirit to set on another travel

Watching your blue eyes at birth, turning yellow
By the time you turn older, we’ll hear a loud bellow
Your desire to reunite with your blood brothers
All gray wolves and the red wolves smother an affair

Gather all alpha male and female
To produce the strongest cubs and care
A career in hunting intensified by watching
Learning to form a polygon, each is participating

Many rulers fascinated to mean their names with yours
Some noble personality hunts you down for your shaggy fur
Using wolfhound to outrun and hunt your brothers
As they respond to human howls are then put to danger

Clearing my mind of any last wolves ever killed
Keep on howling and make us beguiled
Unwanted occupants warned away from trying to intrude
Protecting each other and your brood

I am only a follower for whatever is your knowing
I regret any anarchic killing
For I believed slain wolves’ brothers would revenge
I am to this day will help to make a change

THE WILD KRATTS KIDS

THE WILD KRATTS KIDS

OH, WOH, OH, OH, WOH, OH, OH, WOH, OH

Turning on the TV
Wonders how they do it
Why they need to flee
Is a matter you know your mother wit

When the world is calm
Somewhere out there needs your help
Who could hear them, and make becalm
Someone watched them like a wolf’s whelp

They are brothers to save wild fauna
With their special creature power suits
Gaining animal powers, saving them from trauma
Transport them in a specific route

Helping rebuild habitat’s life chain
Pio as Chris, Malka as Aviva
JD as Martin, Joakim as Gavin
Teamwork with a brilliant idea

Dolphin’s dive, frogfish’s camouflage
It feels great with these powers
With the strength of rhino charge
Basilisk lizard walking on water

Here come the wild kratts kids
Here come the wild kratts kids
Here come the wild kratts kids

MY ROARING T-REX
By: Noel N. Villarosa

A vicious angry growl
The pounding of feet on the ground
The sound of munching but in scowl
Looking for bigger bite and cast around

Hiding for awhile and suddenly showed
In the webcam, he grinned broadly
Making way to show his world
Just for playful fun and talk fondly

Come out, come out my roaring t-rex
Come out, come out show me your reflex
I am in the mood to run and be chased
And caught in my little son’s embraced

You are my roaring t-rex in the chat room
Roaring is your way to make me smile
It’s always perfect and laughter in boom
A moment I would always want to reconcile

Sonnet Poem - A Destiny To Meet A Humble Boss

SONNET POEM
A DESTINY TO MEET A HUMBLE BOSS

The Grace of Allah be with you always
That fateful day, we met in the Philippines
A short interview and you said okay
An agreement that was a way to begin

Appreciate your kindness like brother
No barrier between us and for all
True humility brings you closer to others
Promotes well-being is your ultimate goal

Many times I stepped to ask for your aid
You stepped up to be prudent and sensible
Always speak in gentle tone and well said
Your leadership is such exceptional

To me, to others you are a true friend
Your kind-heartedness will always remind

Pio and the fire-breathing Dragon
(Short story for children)
by: NOEL N. VILLAROSA
6 OCTOBER 2014

One day, when a young boy named Pio explored into North America and climbed the Teton Range, where rocks that could be found there were believed to be the oldest rock formations about 2.5 billion years ago. Pio believed that the tremor that was recorded in that place was not ordinary tremor coming from below but caused by a huge creature lying inside the rocky mountain.

Pio brought all of the needed equipment and moved on to find the missing cave where he heard the old folklore about the fire-breathing dragon. As he climbed the rough and peak mountain--he would normally rest for a while; he can hear strange noise not far from his place, but he just ignored it and took a deep breath to calm himself from fear of the surroundings.

Many days he was searching the terrain, one day he found one suspicious looking trailing plant that was holding a huge rock and covered with moss. It looked like a cave opening. Pio tried to clear the savage passageway by using his bolo, and with the help of a large stick, Pio enabled pushing the massive stone and rolled out to make a way, he discovered a dark cave. Pio got his flashlight and got inside to check what could be lurking inside. At the lowland, he slid and jumped over the flowing stream, he followed the stream that leads him to a much darker place. Pio stopped for a while upon smelling a burned-out breath just like a cigarette. Pio watched carefully his steps, and he felt a rough bumpy layover. Pio just stepped on the back of the fire-breathing dragon, and had awakened it to immediately get up and ready to strike the intruder--Pio.

The dragon looked at Pio.
“Um. How are you, my friend dragon?" Pio asked.
“I’m fine, little boy.” “And what are you doing here?” Dragon replied.
“Well, I was lost and I would like to spend a night inside this cave if you don’t mind,” Pio said.

“Outside is a little misty and cold,” Pio said.

“I’m not feeling cold in here if you could feel my stomach; it is charging as I digest my food, I eat those metal-rich rocks to help grind hard objects that I have eaten. I have two chambers in my stomach; one is secreting acid for breaking down food, and the other one has several fire glands such as methane and octane that helped me to spit out fire from my mouth,” Dragon said.

“I’m so impressed by your capability, you must have spit a powerful fire and that no one dares to challenge you to a fight,”  Pio said.

“Indeed my little friend, how would you like asking me to do an awesome thing and I would be glad to do it just for you,” Dragon replied.

“It is obvious that you can do anything, but would you mind lighting those torches on the wall so that I could see around,” Pio said.

“As you wish,” Dragon replied.

As the dragon emitted fire from its mouth, the fire touched the torches and gave off flames. Now, little Pio could see around and was thinking a way out because in no time the dragon would tear and burn him into pieces.

Pio said again to the dragon, “My friend dragon, can you see that stream of water, if you could drink that water and put it all inside your stomach that would make me believe that you could do anything and nothing is impossible.”

Pio was thinking that in order that fire glands inside the dragon’s stomach will not generate fire anymore, it needed to swallow the water into its stomach that would give him a chance to escape and run away.

“Yes, I can drink all the water in that river and drought I gave to that stream,” Dragon boasted.

As the dragon gulped down all the water into its stomach, it felt bloated and could not hold it anymore as it tried to release it again back into the stream, Pio positioned himself into the dried stream, and waited for the dragon to release the water, as the dragon blew the water, Pio rode into the rushing water, and evicted him out of the cave, plunged on free-falling waterfalls thus escaping the dragon’s chasing. While the dragon was trying to run after him but it could not fit its huge body into the mouth of the cave, and could not emit its fire again because the water that penetrated its second stomach with fire glands was no more producing fire as it was cooled down by the water. The dragon became weak, and could not move its body, also suddenly its heart stopped beating thus ending its life, and the folklore of the fire-breathing dragon was sealed in that rocky mountain where no one could ever find him.

Pio outsmarted the dragon; he got home safely and promised to himself that he would not tell it to anybody what he just discovered on that rocky mountain. It was an adventure he would treasure as long as he lives. THE END.

Sliver the Dinosaur Robot and the Five Children (Short Story for Children)
By: Noel N. Villarosa
12 August 2014

This is my story: When the world was still young, dinosaurs ruled the earth. As some believed that their extinction was caused by an asteroid. The asteroid that had hit them was relatively rocky and metallic that came from another planet which other creatures have lived. The Centaur Aliens have built one huge asteroid, and had put on it was a gravitational force to pull such massive object such as that of a dinosaur. The more massive like a dinosaur, the more gravitational pull it exerted to all dinosaurs. They got all dinosaurs and experimented on their bodies. The Centaur Aliens were intelligent creatures that they wanted to build a toy dinosaur robot in order to build a relationship with humans, and later manipulate the earth. From their experiments, they have chosen 5 dinosaurs to be made as robots, and they sent it back to earth, but along the travel from the outer space into the atmosphere of earth, something strange things happened, the giant dinosaur robots have shrunk into a miniature dinosaur robots as it passed through the earth’s atmosphere, these are: The Tyrannosaurus Rex, The Sauropods, The Velociraptor, The Albertaceratops Nesmoi, and The Hadrosaurs. The spaceship landed in the Philippines. These robots were programmed acting on their own, and have themselves placed among other toys in the store, waiting for children to take them home.

One day one family went to the mall to look for toys to be given to five children as gifts, they strolled inside the mall. Pio got his attention to one standing dinosaur robot that seems to look to his direction; he got this and asked for his mom to buy it. Malka on the other side got her attention to one dinosaur robot and she got this also, JD also took one dinosaur robot, Joakim had picked his choice, and so with Incredible Hulk. All the five children went home with their new dinosaur robots.

Pio has named his dinosaur robot as Sliver T-rex, Malka named her dinosaur robot as Sara, JD named his dinosaur robot as Vailu, Joakim named his dinosaur robot as Albert, and Incredible Hulk has named his dinosaur robot as Hadros.

One evening when the five children fell asleep, unaware that their dinosaur robots were now moving and talking to each other as if they were talking secretly about their mission. Sliver the T-Rex who was the leader of the group was holding microchips planned to be implanted on their satellite and to trace where the frozen fossils of the Troodon dinosaur was located. The Centaur Aliens believed that if they could get the fossils of a Troodon will have a better chance for them to create a smart dinosaur robots and to be sent for fighting their enemy -- the Trisdan Alien who was trying to build also their best dinosaur robot -- the Utahraptor dinosaur robot who was very lethal and designed to be a killing machine.

The Trisdan Aliens were building many kinds of Utahraptors, and ready to be sent to the Centaur Planet. The five dinosaurs sent to earth were their last chance to survive the attack of the Trisdan’s Utahraptors.

Back to the house of the five children, the Centaur leader had sent a message to Sliver T-rex to locate the fossils of the Troodon dinosaur because of a threat of a possible attack of the Trisdan’s robots.

As Pio and his four friends were having great fun with their dinosaur robots, suddenly Sliver the T-Rex had shown some unusual behavior like directly talking to Pio, and asking for their help to find North America, and to locate the fossils of the Troodon dinosaur. Pio normally was shocked by what he heard from Sliver, and so with the other dinosaur robots. Pio had asked Malka, JD, Joakim, and Incredible Hulk to help their dinosaur robots to locate the fossils of the Troodon dinosaur. The five children together with the five dinosaurs which they called as the switch-and-go team rode to their spaceship to bring them to North America believed where the Troodon’s fossils could be found. Sliver using the space-based radar satellite would help them detect and track the fossils of Troodon dinosaur.

However, after closely examining the North American fossil record from that time period, the five children have read that researchers believed that some dinosaurs could have actually survived from the asteroid’s devastating impacts and probably died due to other causes.

Sliver’s space-based radar satellite started to trace something somewhere in the place of Montana, they landed to where the signal was leading them, and they excavated the ground and to the surprise of all, were laid the fossils of the Troodon dinosaur. Pio, Malka, JD, Joakim and Incredible Hulk carefully collected the pieces and wrapped it in cloth and put it inside the box for protection while traveling.

Sliver sent a message back to Centaur Planet that they have already retrieved the fossils and will be transported back to their planet anytime. Centaur leader received the message at the time they were being attacked; they just sent a message to Sliver not to come back, as it was already in a hostile position. The last message was distressing and they could only hear explosions. The Centaur Planet was destroyed and there was nobody who survived the attacked.

Meanwhile, the switch-and-go team led by Sliver was thinking what to do next, as there were no more places to return to. The five children: Pio, Malka, JD, Joakim and Incredible Hulk decided to keep them in their house, and to be there with them as long as they lived. Maybe for this time, they will be safe for a while with their new found friends: Pio, Malka, JD, Joakim, and Incredible Hulk. THE END
